The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.

Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once..... grote_smurf
Found this one on YouTube and had to come here to order it straight away. It caught my ear from the beginning and never let go of me since. Powerful, well written, high energetic and fierce music that is incredibly well produced. Kick-ass vocals. You guys are totally sick. Go on in this spirit, please 🤘 mourner

Naxen is a German trio playing classic "Norwegian" style BM with doom passages, which in my opinion adds a twist to the oh-so-stomped-chosen-path of the so-called 2nd wave black metal horde. It's almost too slow at times for me, but I can really appreciate the technical prowess from these relatively new guys. The second part, I agree, is where they really stand out!
